Duke Reverend Kenny Tran is an esoteric interfaith minister who was born into a Chinese-Vietnamese family in Song Be Province, Vietnam with the birth name of Kha Trong Tran, which means “Ancient Respected Tree Branch”.
He moved to Little Saigon, California in 1993 with a sponsorship visa from one of his uncles who works as a manager at the U.S. government’s social security office.
His father, Luong Tran, was a high ranking officer in South Vietnam’s military.
He has an uncle, Tam Nguyen, who is a city manager in Binh Phuoc Province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam (the current government). He also has a cousin, Bui Nhu Dieu, who is a fulbright scholar/Harvard Kennedy graduate who is a specialist in the People’s Committee and is a current government official for Binh Phuoc Province of Vietnam.
His uncle-in-law, Le Quang Luong, was the Supreme Commander of South Vietnam’s airborne special forces.
His grandfather served as a police officer in Thu Dau Mot City of Binh Duong Province.
His great-grandfather is the Founder of Linh Son Template in Go Cong Province, Vietnam.
Duke Reverend Kenny Tran has won the lifetime achievement award from the Republican National Committee and is a member of the Trump Advisory Board. He was a democrat in the past and served as a campaign lead for California Democratic state assembly candidate Paul Lucas (who was also President of the Orange County Young Democrats).
